All of the fish caught and/or processed by G.RUN comes from ocean waters off Iceland. For the most part, our fishing grounds for catching cod, haddock and redfish stretch from Reykjanes peninsula in the south to the West Fjords in the north, and lie about 30-100 nautical miles from the coast.
A special logo representing responsible fisheries (see right) indicates that our products stem from fish caught in a responsible manner in Icelandic waters that are subject to Icelandic fisheries management. It has been decided that the use of this logo is permitted to indicate the origin of any fish products coming from Icelandic waters. More information about this logo can be found by clicking here to enter the Icelandic Fisheries website.
G.RUN supports the Statement on Responsible Fisheries in Iceland, signed by the Minister of Fisheries, the Marine Research Institute, the Directorate of Fisheries and the Fisheries Association of Iceland. You can read more here about fisheries management and the Statement on Responsible Fisheries.
